How to make a few gold from people who are insane.

I recently finished the insane title on my hunter and it got me thinking how much potential profit there is in the long grind. I'll be covering each rep individually. Each rep requires getting to exalted except for Bloodsail Buccaneers which requires honored rep.

Bloodsail Buccaneers

There isn't much to do on this one. The rep is only earned by slaughtering the guards and npcs in booty bay. So you could have someone pay you for every 1 rep=1gold. They would then put you on follow and then you get to start murdering all of booty bay for about 5 hours. The guards have been buffed so its a lot tougher unless you have a tank class of some sort.

Darkmoon Faire

This rep is one of the easier ones to earn gold from. A lot of people will pay you to let them turn in your decks for you for rep and then they return the trinket to you. An ideal cost would 1g per 1 rep but you can adjust to suit your needs. You could also craft the rogue's decks and sell them on the ah. Each deck usually sells for around 20g a deck or so.

Ravenholdt

There are a few things you can do for this rep. They can pay you to follow you and then you slaughter the syndicate members in arathi highlands. There is also a turn in part for the rep also. It involves turning in lockboxes that you pickpocket from lvl 55ish mobs. Every 5 boxes equals 75 rep. It will take over 2100 lockboxes to get exalted with this rep so there is plenty money making potential.

Steamwheedle Cartel(Booty Bay, Everlook, Ratchet, Gadgetzan)

Again this rep involves them putting you on follow then you get to go slaughter a bunch of pirates. There are pirates outside of both Ratchet and Gadgetzan that affect this rep.

  1. Here's a question for you...

Giving someone a Darkmoon deck so that they can turn it in and give you back the trinket... for a 20g - 15 second profit sounds good enough... but what stops this person from taking your deck and running off, disconnecting or just standing there and laughing at you? I could see even a Bliz GM replying that you gave the person the item... they didn't take it.

Just seems very risky to hand over something that is generally worth about 10k gold for 20g profit.

  2. Well you would have to make sure to state that they return the item to you after you let them turn it in. As long as you have stated that, Blizzard should side with you and return your trinket to you. The darkmoon decks that people have to turn in, you can charge around 250-350g per deck for them to turn in since each deck gives 350 rep i believe and you are aiming for at least 1g per 1 rep. The rogues decks are the generic ones that you can use anytime and all they reward are a green item.
